I want to start running eCourses. I am a very confident teacher and public speaker, but not sure about the technology – Sarah.
Great question Sarah! Thanks for asking. First of all, great job on the confidence thing! As we all know, public speaking is one of the toughest things to do. If you can master that (or at least be confident with it) then you have a GREAT foundation for an ecourse.
It just seems like a perfect fit for either an audio ecourse or a video ecourse. One of the things I would suggest is get yourself some sort of audio recorder like Audacity (I use it often). Pick your topic of choice and start talking!
Once you're done, divide it up into logical sections and bingo, you got yourself an audio ecourse in it's rough form! Of course, there are other things you need to do with it, but at least you'll get this part done.
Oh, will also need some sort of email distribution program as well. I use Kick Start Cart. You can check out their 30 day trial by clicking on the link here.
Great question! Keep them coming!

Utilizing the power of an Ecourse is a lot like fishing for sharks. Professional shark hunters don't put a worm on a hook and throw it in the water. They have to entice the sharks to come get the bait. The proper term for this enticing stuff is "chum."
The more enticing the chum, the better the attraction for the shark. The same concept is used for Ecourses. Most Ecourses are designed to attract people to whatever it is that is being sold. The more enticing your Ecourse, the better the attraction for your subscribers.
Your Ecourse is sort of like Chum. Get it?
Free chum makes people want to stay around until they find the "bait" they really like.
And your "bait" is your sellable produts. So ask yourself, how good is your chum? Is it the best stuff you can use to attract your subscribers?
The best way to figure this out is by offering the best possible chum you can come up with. Yes, it's that simple!
Is your "chum" up to par with the experts? Click here to find out more about what I'm talking about.

One of the things I wanted to accomplish in January is to "get skinny". Not in the sense of weight loss (although that coming along as well), but in the sense of taking away the items that are draining my business financially.
I believe business is all about profit, so the more profit you have, the better off you'll be. That being said, I took a look at EVERY aspect of my personal and business financial outflow and found several items that could be replaced by something else of less cost but of equal or greater value.
Oh, I'm sure if I list the items, people with argue and debate me that what I got rid of was better than what I picked up….bla-bla-bla. I'm not here to push what I do and don't use (you can find that in the side bars), I'm just saying that it may be a good business practice to really look at what you have and determine if you really, truly need THAT particular service or find one that's more suitable.
Here's an example. I contacted my cell phone provider just to find out options. I found out that because of the minutes I use, I could change my current plan, add texting (I'm not a fan of it but several of my friends from across the country are and it was costing me to receive their texts) and actually DROP my monthly fee by about $10/month! Not a big deal, but when you consider all I did was make a phone call and talk to someone for about 15 min, that call saved me $120 for this year.
Get it? So, when I say I'm getting skinny, I'm actually making my bank account fatter, get it!
Speaking of getting your bank accounts fatter, are you an affiliate of mine? You can promote the products I have and make money by doing so. Heck, why not? It's another revenue stream for you and best of all, it costs you NOTHING!
You can become an affiliate by clicking here.

Talk about a major goof up! Today, when doing some website work, I accidentally deleted all my old posts from this blog. Oh, I still have them saved elsewhere, but I didn't want to do all the work to get them back up here.
Eventually, I'll like to my older posts and we can go from there. I may put them on little by little, so keep coming back and check this site out for updated content.
Hey, since you're here, why don't you check out the links on the right side of the page?
Until next time, Ciao!
